Welcome to Golden Lands Collectibles where you will find treasures that I have personally gathered while traveling throughout the Golden Lands of Thailand, Myanmar (formerly Burma), Cambodia, Laos and Viet Nam. My love for this region began over forty years ago when I was stationed in Viet Nam. While on leave in Thailand, I was exposed to a world of culture and art for which I developed a great love and appreciation.
The Buddhist and Hindu people have expressed their deep religious conviction through their art for 2500 years. Generations of artisans have captured their history and beliefs through intricate carvings. Golden Land Collectibles has acquired these carvings directly from the artist while traveling throughout the region. I began purchasing carvings for my personal collection. As my love of the culture and my collection has grown, I have created Golden Lands Collectibles to share these beautiful objects with others that share my appreciation.
